Cement

Portland (hydraulic) cement is primarily used for construction as a binder in concrete, mortar, and plaster. It is also used for the manufacturing of concrete products eg bricks and blocks, pavers, roof tiles and pipes. It is typically packaged in 50kg or 25kg bags, as well as bulk in 1 or 2 ton jumbo bags.

Slag

Slag is a by-product of the steel-making process. It is converted to granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) or ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS). It is used as a performance and durability enhancer in ready-mix and site-batched concrete.

Bauxite

Bauxite is the main raw material used in aluminum production. It is also used as an additive in cement production. Typically, bauxite is classified in terms of its intended application: metallurgical, chemical, cement, etc.

Clinker

Clinker is the main semi-processed material used in the manufacture of Portland cement. Clinker is formed by burning limestone and clay raw materials in cement kilns. Clinker is ground in a mill together with gypsum, to produce Portland cement. It can also be ground together with slag, fly ash, or limestone to produce blended cements.

Gypsum

Natural Gypsum is a sulphate mineral compound of Calcium Sulphate Dihydrate. It is used primarily in plaster/wallboard manufacturing and cement production, and also as a soil conditioner in agricultural applications.
