MV ELEEN NEPTUNE

Despite the extremely challenging conditions experienced for the most part of 2020 brought about by COVID-19, including lock-downs, port closures, suspension of clients’ manufacturing facilities, and general downturn in the economy, NEXUS Intertrade, in partnership with International Materials Inc, managed to successfully import another full natural gypsum shipment into Durban Harbour in September 2020, and provided a true end-to-end bulk materials solution from overseas sourcing all the way through to final local delivery to multiple customers in both the wall board and cement industries, covering a local distances of up to 800km from port to final destination in some cases. We also managed to conclude two major supply contracts for over 100 000t of imported gypsum to be shipped during 2021. Currently, we are finalising further gypsum shipments, as well as slag, bauxite, and clinker shipments to three different ports.

We are planning to start 2021 off with a bang, watch this space for more updates.
